Hapi is the god of balance, crops, fertility, prosperity, and the floods of the Nile. His sacred animals are baboons, fish, and water fowl. In art, Hapi typically appears as a man with a swollen belly and breasts, and sometimes holding papyrus and lotus plants, two water vases, or a tray with offerings. His skin is usually coloured blue. |
