Ity is the god of music, and the personification of the joy that comes from sacred music. He is the son of Horus or Ra and Hathor.

In art, Ity appears as naked boy wearing the sidelock of youth. His finger is usually near his mouth, and he often wears the uraeus and carries a sistrum.
